Our management team is comprised of seasoned professionals with many years of experience in the debt purchasing and collections industry. The biographies of our management team are outlined below.

Mike Varrichio – President/CEO
Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1985. Currently, Mike serves as the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Global Acceptance Credit Company. Previously, Mike was a President within Kforce, Incorporated’s Information Technology division responsible for managing over $100 million in annual revenues and approximately 1000 employees. Kforce is a $600 million staffing company, and he was a Technology Consultant for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.

Phil Varrichio – Executive Vice President/COO
Graduated with a Bachelor Business Administration in Management from Dallas Baptist University in 1993. Currently, Phil serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Acceptance Credit Company. During his tenure with the company, Phil has purchased, sold and managed the recovery of over $1 billion of distressed consumer debt portfolios. He manages all aspects of the collection floor, operations, and external revenue channels. Prior to GACC, Phil was a Collection Manager for Bank One, Texas NA managing a $4 billion consumer debt portfolio and a department of over 65 collectors.

Corbin Grubbs - Controller
Graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1998. Currently, Corbin serves as the Controller of Global Acceptance Credit Company. Previously, Corbin was the Accounting Manager for a publicly held healthcare membership marketing company with annual revenues of $40 million; and he was the Financial Manager for a rehabilitation firm based in Dallas, Texas. After graduating, Corbin held various management positions with companies within the automotive and healthcare industries.

Melanie Martin - Director of Sales

Melanie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Christian University in 2004.  Melanie serves as the Sales Manager for Global Acceptance.  Previously, she was the advertising representative for two national trade publications - Collection Advisor Magazine and CPA Magazine.  In addition, she was Exhibitor and Sponsor Manager for Collection Advisor's annual collection technology national conference and exposition. 

Alan Kluger - Director of Portfolio Acquisitions

Alan graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelor's degree in Science.  He then obtained an MBA in Finance and Investments from the City University of New York, Baruch College.  In the nineteen years Alan has spent in the education field, he has worked as a professor of accounting and finance, a CFO of two international universities, a COO of a medical school and an Executive Director of a career college.  As a CPA, he conducted Title IV compliance and financial audits of schools.  In his current position with Global Acceptance Credit Company, Alan utilizes his contacts and knowledge of the industry to obtain, analyze, appraise and purchase private student loan debt portfolios.

Jonathan Dorn - Director of Collection Operations

Jonathan is the Collection Operations Manager at Global Acceptance Credit Company.  He manages all collection floor activities to include inbound, outbound and skip tracing departments.  Prior to his current role, Jonathan managed two other collection floor departments.  Previously, he was the department manager for Vartec Telecom's Excel Wireless collections where he increased the department's revenue by 121% and was joint owner of Cell-Phone, Inc.  He attended Mountain View College where he studied English and Psychology.

Susan Malcom – Director of Strategic Collection Operations

Susan serves as the Director of Strategic Collections Operations managing the company's external partner channels which includes the agency, legal and arbitration network throughout the United States.  In addition, her department is responsible for all dispute management processing.  Prior to her current role, she was Director of Operations for Ascension Capitol Group.  She has over 10 years experience in the accounts receivable management industry developing and managing loss mitigation departments for Drive Financial Services and Capital One Auto Finance.  Susan attended the University of Georgia where she studied International Business and Pre-Med.

Joyce Stockdale - Legal Channel Coordinator

Joyce graduated with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2004 and a Bachelors degree in Justice Studies-Pre Law from Arizona State University in 2002. Currently, Joyce works as the Legal Channel Coordinator for Global Acceptance Credit Company. She manages the day-to-day operation of the legal department. Prior to GACC, Joyce was the Legal Collection Manager for Nationwide Credit, Inc managing a legal portfolio with a monthly recovery average of $1.6 million dollars, managing performance of 165 attorneys nationwide and a direct report staff of ten.

Donnie Pangburn - Training and Quality Assurance Manager

Donnie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education at the University of Kentucky in 1987.  Donnie manages the Training and Quality Assurance Department for Global Acceptance Credit Company.  Donnie started his career in collections in 1990 with FACS (Federated Allied Credit Services).  Additionally, he worked five years at Citibank in their recovery department, and two years with American Express.  Donnie has been involved in Quality Assurance, Training and Human Resources Management for the past twelve years.
